Former Partner and the Head of the Banking and Finance Department at Bowmans, Francisco Khoza, has left to join ABSA Wealth and Investment Management as General Counsel. Mr Khoza was ranked as a recommended investment funds lawyer by Legal 500 in both 2015 and 2016 and is one of the leading experts in his field.

Law firm Baker McKenzie has recently announced the election of 80 new partners with 3 being appointed in their Johannesburg office. Lerisha Naidu was promoted to partner in the Antitrust & Competition Practice while Callum O’Connor and Michelle Wright were made partners in the Dispute Resolution Practice. These 80 new partner elections means the total number of partners at Baker McKenzie worldwide is now nearly 1600 with over 400 being women – the most of any law firm.

For the third consecutive year, ENSafrica has been identified as a leading international law firm for India-related work by the India Business Law Journal.
