President Ramaphosa plans to submit the full State Capture Commission Report to parliament by 30 June 2022.

The president announced this last week during the handover of the first part of the Report of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture, Corruption and Fraud in the Public Sector Including Organs of State.

The remaining parts of the Report will be submitted by 28 February 2022.

The Commission of Inquiry was set up in 2018.

The president confirmed that the submission of the Report to parliament will include an “indication of my intentions with regards to implementation of the Commission’s recommendations”.

An implementation plan on the recommendations will be drawn up once the final instalment has been received.

The president declared that government “will therefore not make pronouncements on the findings nor recommendations of the Commission’s report before having received all parts of the report and having considered all three parts of the report”.

The first part of the Commission Report is available on the presidency website.
