Keeping our clients one step ahead in the African market

Eversheds Sutherland has announced the rebrand of its Africa network, now known as Eversheds Sutherland Africa Alliance (ESAA).

Previously known as Eversheds Sutherland Africa Law Institute, ESAA is a unique entity that provides member law firms in Africa with access to training, knowledge sharing programmes, secondments, publications, client events and commercial opportunities on a regional and international basis.

It also provides clients with access to the combined knowledge of firms in over 35 countries across the continent.

Co-Head of the Africa Group Boris Martor commented:

“When we decided to pull our existing best friends together into the ESAA, a big part of the rationale was to make them feel that they were part of something. We are creating an African family with shared interests and in this, we have had an extraordinary response.”

Co-Head of the Africa Group John Kemkers added:

“Member numbers have grown significantly over recent years. The renaming more accurately reflects the scope of our current network in Africa and the fact that our member firms have become key strategic partners across the continent.

“It also brings our Africa network into line with our networks in Asia and Latin America. These are exciting times for Eversheds Sutherland and for Africa and we intend to significantly grow our practice there working in conjunction with our ESAA member firms.”
