Directions to combat COVID-19 in courts drawn up

Directions to combat Covid-19 in courts, court precincts and justice service points have been drawn up.
The justice and constitutional development department published the Directions in Government Gazette 44133.
They were drawn up in terms of Disaster Management Act Regulations.
The Directions apply to the Adjusted Alert Level 3.
They focus on restriction of services and access to court room, court house or justice service point; criminal cases and related matters; interpreters; resolution of disputes; safety measures at a court room, court house and justice service point during the period of the national state of disaster; disinfection of court room, court house or justice service point and exclusion.
The Annexure lists available services under Adjusted Alert Level 3.
