Nicolé van der Merwe

Nicolé is a candidate attorney at De Beer Attorneys. She holds a BSc Honors degree in Genetics and Developmental Biology (Cum Laude) and a BSc degree in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genetics and Developmental Biology, both from the University of the Witwatersrand. Nicolé also completed a Bachelor of Law degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. Nicolé has completed various intern programs in the intellectual property law departments of a number of leading South African law firms, before joining De Beer Attorneys.
Nicolé has a keen interest in the drafting and prosecution of patents in the biochemistry and pharmaceutical industry. She is currently studying towards qualification as both a South African Patent and a South African Trademark Attorney.
