Contract automation – Legal tech can assist you to draft contracts more efficiently

De Wet de Villiers holds the BAcc.LLB degree from Stellenbosch University. De Wet joined PwC’s corporate and international tax team in Cape Town as a Tax Consultant in 2011. During his time at PwC he provided tax consulting services to various local and multinational groups which included advice on group restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, capital gains tax and share incentive schemes. He is an admitted advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
In 2014 De Wet joined Imperial Logistics to head up its commercial and legal team with his main focus area being mergers and acquisitions in Africa. During his time at Imperial Logistics, De Wet was responsible for the set up of the central legal department and company secretarial function for the African operations and during 2018, partnering with Exigent, won the Innovation Award at the African Legal Awards.
De Wet currently focuses on group restructuring as well as mergers and acquisitions and has a keen interest in legal technology and innovation.
